Now we’re in a new year, I thought I’d share with you my bookish bucket list!
- Read a book in each of the three languages I’m learning – French, Spanish and Russian (This is, outside of class)
- Be quoted in a book. I’d love for one of my reviews to be quoted in a published book!
- Make some money blogging. Even if it’s just 10p from my new affiliate links, I think it would be really cool to earn something doing something I love so much.
- Go to an official blogging event.Β Technically I’ve been to one of these before but it was ages ago and I’d love to be able to go to more, perhaps a bit more regularly
- Reach 1000 blog followers. This just looks like a massive number to me so I would absolutely love to reach it.
- Participate in some sort of blogger pen pal or gift swapping scheme. I’ve seen so many cool ones and I’d love to join in some day – it just hasn’t been possible for me yet.
- Be a rep for a bookish merch company. I’ve seen a few chances come up for this, I don’t think now’s quite the right time but I’d love to do this someday.
- Tell people in my real life about my blog. Currently no one in my real life knows about my blog but I’d love to be confident enough to tell people.
- Win a blogger award. I know there are so many great book bloggers out there, this is unlikely to happen but what’s a bucket list without a couple of crazy dreams?
- Be happy with my stats. This isn’t really related to what I achieve as statistics but more my attitude towards them. I spend a lot of time worrying about my stats and I want this to stop!
What’s on your blogging or bookish bucket list? Let me know!

I’m trying to read more books in Spanish this year too; I’ve not read any bar the one we’re doing in class, because it takes me so much longer than English books π¦ (also finding blogging pen pals/gift swapping seems like such a cool idea!)

Wow some awesome goals! I wish you luck in achieving them all but can I say wow! Three languages is so impressive!
Aj @ Read All The Things!
Good luck! Itβs impressive that youβre learning 3 languages. I took Spanish lessons for 7 years, but Iβve forgotten pretty much everything.

Love these a lot especially 3 & 6!!!
Daniella
What fab goals – you can definitely achieve some of them! I can’t believe you are learning three languages! I would love to know more about the translated books you are reading for that goal π

I was to be a rep of a bookish box! It would be a dream come true!
Papertea and Bookflowers
I can relate to so many of these! I’d love to be a rep for bookish merch. And I actually finished my first Spanish book (not for school) and I was so proud π Next goal is a book in Norwegian (though I’m just starting to learn that, so it may take a little while …)
Oh and I told two people irl that I have a blog, but not the actual name. And I’m not ready to show them just yet. English isn’t my first language and I always feel like I’m a little different when writing in English so it feels kinda strange to show them. I don’t want them to think me fake, because I’m not. Does that make any sense?

They are such good goals! I do hope you can achive then all soon βΊοΈ

Just this year I put on my bucket list to be quoted in a book and I’ve been quoted in two! I was absolutely gobsmacked.
I would love to be a rep for something, but I don’t think my black and white instagram feed fits with the colourful flatlays that company’s tend to pick xD
Most of the things on your list definitely sound do-able, so I wish you luck!

That’s so impressive you are learning French, Spanish and Russian! Which would you say is the most difficult to learn? Haha. Good luck with your bookish bucket list! I hope you can knock some off the list this year π

Amazing goals! Especially the first one! If you manage to read a book in all of those languages that’s incredible. I’m always in awe of multi-lingual people. I wish there was more focus on that in the education system x

Being happy with your stats is a great goal. It can be hard to let things go sometimes and just stop stressing about it!
Lois
These are some really great goals to work towards. I think reading a book in another language is a great way to learn said language. I think being comfortable with your stats is a really important goal. It’s so easy to let the numbers define your success and compare them with other bloggers that we forget about all the incredible things we’ve achieved along the way.

I have a couple I would love to rep for, as well. These are great goals! Good luck π And you’re one follower closer – I’m a new one!
hrhthelastredhead
Thats fantastic that you’re learning three other languages! I wish I was able to. Definitely hear you with your other goals of stats, awards and general blogging progress. Its so difficult to become established and happy within the blogging sphere π¦ But keep it up! You’re doing great!

These are great goals! I hope you’ll be able to accomplish all of them eventually, but remember to not stress yourself out too much, especially with things like stats! That’s why I especially love your last goal – I think that’s something we all struggle with and we need to stop! Easier said than done haha, but stats can really take the fun out of blogging
