On the Fence by Kasie West – A cutesy contemporary with some great family relationships
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins – A cute romance set in Paris
Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder – a fab YA fantasy with a great herione
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater – not your cliché werewolf romance
Gone by Michael Grant – all the adults disappear, what happens next?
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick – yet another adorable contemporary romance with great family dynamics
Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl – An unusual paranormal romance with a historical aspect if I remember correctly
So that’s only seven, but I’d say that’s not bad, clearly I’m just good at remembering the plots at books!
What books have you liked but now you think about them can’t really remember much about? Let me know!

I also loved My Life Next Door but can’t remember much about it. Though to be fair, I read it in 2012. I love pretty much all of Fitzpatrick’s books, though, and I don’t usually read contemporary.

I haven’t read any of these but they look quite interesting. Anna and the French Kiss is definitely on my TBR for this year 😛
I guess we have limited brain storage to remember all the bookish information 😛
I hope you get to re-read a few of them soon 😛

I read Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight 3 or 4 years ago and remember just about nothing! I’ll have to do a reread before the last book comes out this year so I can finish the series.

I like the cover for Beautiful Creatures. Do you think you’ll ever reread it?

I don’t really remember the details from Anna & the French Kiss either — I read the other related books (Lola, Isla), and they’ve all kind of run together in my mind. (I do know that I liked them!)

Hi! I should have put Anna and the French Kiss on my list, too. I know I loved it, but I can only remember flashes of scenes.

My Life Next Door!!! That’s one of my faves. I don’t think you can go wrong with a reread of that book. Also, Anna and the French Kiss was one I liked, but don’t remember EVERYTHING. I know there was a weird middle part when St. Clair didn’t break up with his girlfriend for a really long icky time…. but other than that and Anna liking movies, I’m tapped.

Ahh yes On the Fence, Anna and the French Kiss and My Life Next Door were all soooo cute and I remember really enjoying them but I actually don’t remember much of what happened ahah. I loved the Gone series! But I don’t remember much other than the parents disappear and it was SUPER gory. Like, wow. But it was really cool! Lovely list. 😀

I have a really bad habit of forgetting what happens in books and it can be quite frustrating! I find it happens most with contemporaries; maybe because I tend to read them quite quickly. I keep hearing people raving about Poison Study so might need to read that soon. Great idea for a post!

On the Fence and Anna and the French Kiss are two of my favorites! I haven’t read most of those books, though. I think I kind of remember My Life Next Door?

Beautiful Creatures is one of my top series. I loved the gothic romance of it all!
I tried to read Poison Study but couldn’t get into it at the time. I’m hoping to reattempt it this year!

I really liked Anna and the French Kiss 😊
Seeing it here has reminded me I have the 2nd on my TBR, I really must read it at some point as it’s been languishing there for months 😊

This happens to me all the time and I hate it. The same with movies too. I’ll love it. Forget it. Then read/ watch something half way again before I remember I’ve already done it. I’m awful at retaining fiction. If I read an autobiography or something historic I’ll remember every little detail but otherwise I have to find a book completely life changing to remember it x

I’ve not read any of these but there must be SO MANY books that I’ve loved and raved about but now can’t remember much about. I guess that’s normal though, with the amount of books we read! xxx

I absolutely adored My Life Next Door, but you’re right I can remember the plot and little bits so well, but some of it is hard to recall, I think I might need to flip through this one, because it was one of my favourite reads!

Oh wow I’ve never heard of any of these books! For me its the other way around; I can remember the plots but never the titles! Especially books from my childhood.
Great post 🙂
