So far for 2018, I have preordered four books so I thought I’d share them with you guys!
Love, Hate and Other Filters – 16th January
A searing #OwnVoices coming-of-age debut in which an Indian-American Muslim teen confronts Islamophobia and a reality she can neither explain nor escape.
If I’m being honest I don’t really know masses about this book but it sounds really good and it was fairly cheap on Kindle, so I decided just to go for it!
The Exact Opposite of Okay – 8th March
A hilarious, groundbreaking young adult novel for anyone who’s ever called themselves a feminist . . . and anyone who hasn’t. For fans of Louise O’Neill, Holly Bourne and Amy Schumer.
This books sounds absolutely amazing! UKYA does some of the best feminist young adult books and The Exact Opposite of Okay sounds like it will be no exception. Since preordering this book, I’ve also learnt that the launch for this book will be happening in Newcastle where I live and Laura Steven is so lovely so now I’m doubly excited!
The Midnights – 6th March
This voice-driven coming-of-age YA novel is perfect for fans of Katie Cotugno and Playlist for the Dead.
This one sounded like a good read and Sarah Smetana is a debut author for 2018! There is also some pretty awesome preorder swag available internationally, so if that doesn’t convince you I don’t know what will.
Perfect (UK paperback) – 25th January
The thrilling, shocking and romantic sequel to the bestselling YA debut FLAWED is finally here. When we embrace all our flaws, that’s when we can finally become PERFECT…
I know this book has already been released but I’ve preordered a paperback copy since it’s cheaper than the kindle edition and means it can join Flawed on my shelf. I received an ARC of Flawed and really enjoyed it so I’m keen to get stuck into the sequel.
What 2018 books have you preordered?
Also, before you go I’d love it if you could fill out my survey, which you can find here, so I can understand what sort of posts you enjoy and what you’d like to see from my blog.

I feel the need to pre-order Love, Hate and Other Issues but something always holds me back from pre-ordering any book. I don’t think I’m going to pre-order Perfect, though, because I wasn’t too crazy about Flawed. I haven’t heard of the other books so I’ll have to add them to my TBR.

I haven’t preordered any books yet this year but I have a feeling that after reading this post, I’ll be adding a few to my wishlist! So much good stuff right here! Love, Hate and Other Filters sounds like a really thought provoking read, so I hope you enjoy it! I haven’t yet read Flawed so I’ll have to quickly pick up a copy so that I can get stuck into Perfect too!

Oh I have yet to preorder any books for this year but must do so, what a diverse selection of books. Perfect appeals to me so I shall add it to my list.

Oh man. The Exact Opposite of Okay. It’s phenomenal and I can’t wait for you to read it! It is fiercely feminist and made me feel *all* of the feels. If the launch in in Newcastle I will definitely be there, it’s so rare for a launch to be anywhere but London.
I got Perfect when it came out in hardback last year but somehow never got round to it. I really need to rectify that as I loved Flawed so much. I’m just scared I’ll be disappointed.

These sound like fab books and thank you for the YA recommendations! I love YA but tend to stumble upon them by accident! I like the sound of Cecelia Ahern’s — I’m a big fan of hers anyway (: xx
Ana Duarte
I got the first two and can’t wait to read them. The others sound cool too but haven’t read Flawed so may need to check that one out before. I haven’t pre-ordered anything as January is slow month for me. But hopefully can do some for the summer releases. Love summer reads.
Mel
They all sound really great. I really want to read more this year.

The Exact Opposite sounds great but for some reason hasn’t been on my radar until now! I’m definitely going to need to get my hands on that. UKYA definitely has some great reads. I hope you enjoy all of these!

I’m excited for Love, Hate & Other Filters! I haven’t preordered any books yet this year as I usually end up doing it closer to release date.
