A girl with a mouth almost as big as her TBR list

Monthly Archives: July 2014

As I am aiming to read 32 books for the BOTY Challenge, I thought I would write a list of the books I’ve read so far this year and one word to describe them. The books aren’t in any particular order, so here we go:

1) City of Heavenly Fire By Cassandra Clare – bittersweet
2) 13 Reasons Why By Jay Asher – thought-provoking
3) The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer By Michelle Hodkin – eerie
4) Significance By Shelley Crane – cute
5) The Prince of Wolves (7 ebooks counted as one book) By Quinn Loftis – hilarious
6) Touch of Power By Maria V. Snyder – unique
7) Seeking Crystal By Joss Stirling – sweet
8) The Selection By Kiera Cass – girly
9) The Elite By Kiera Cass – girly
10) The Killables By Gemma Malley – interesting
11) Fallen By Kate Lauren – disappointing
12) Poison Study By Maria V. Snyder – intriguing
13) Greystone Series (6 ebooks counted as 1) By Taylor Longford – refreshingly different
14) Coexsist By Julia Crane – lighthearted
15) The Evolution for Mara Dyer By Michelle Hodkin – deep
16) Maze Runner By James Dashner – exciting
17) Slated By Teri Terry – thoughtful
18) Reckless Magic By Rachael Higginson – something new

So have you read any of these books?
What did you think of them in one word?
And would you like me to review any of them?

Just made myself a fandom T-shirt. I love it! It contains quotes from The Fault in our stars, The Hunger Games, Divergent, Harry Potter, Beautiful Creatures, The Evolution of Mara Dyer, Starcrossed, The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices. So proud of myself as I am usually really unartistic.

ImageMy second book challenge this year is the Language Freak Summer Challenge. I am aiming for beginner level, reading one book in a foreign language. I am going to read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in French. I have only been learning for French for about 4 years, so I am not sure if I will be able to read all 349 pages, but I will give it my best shot. This should hopefully teach lots of interesting new French words, I better have my dictionary at the ready!

I found this challenge on:

So check it out! (And wish me luck)
